  1. It depends. I would say the average range for Reiki III Master level in Usui Reiki is anywhere from $100-$500, with most falling in the $200-$300 range. Of course there is one particular school of Usui Reiki that still charges $10,000 for Masters training!

Many Reiki Master classes are much longer than the other training, and if the teaching Master is a member of a Reiki governing organization (like the Canadian Reiki Association) they will need to be meeting very specific criteria. For example, the CRA requires a Master class to be AT LEAST 12 hours of class time, and include a great deal of information on the ethics and methodologies of running a small business, along with the Reiki Master training material. So you'll likely pay more for a very inclusive class like that, and more and more Masters classes are including business acumen as part of the course material. You'll also likely be getting further information on more advanced Reiki practices, as well as instruction and advice in crafting your own Reiki course materials and the ethics of teaching others. There's alot that goes with the responsibility of becoming a Reiki Master - so you'll want to make sure that the class touches on as much of that kind of material as possible.

The most important factor is finding a teacher that you resonate with and respect. Price shouldn't be the ONLY factor, but you should certainly take into account. If someone is charging thousands of dollars, you'll want to look very closely at why, and what you're actually getting for that price. Don't feel badly asking for references, a course syllabus, and for a chance to meet with the Master before signing up for their class.

  2. Paying for levels? Sounds like Scientology to me.

    Too bad Reiki doesn't work.

  3. Depends on the Reiki Master/Teacher. Mine charged me a donation. I charge 40 bucks for it. It only takes about 20 minutes of my time for the attunement and another hour or so teaching how to pass the master attunement.

  4. Depends on where you live.  California charges a lot more than Texas.  The fees on Reiki are getting less expensive.

I have been teaching at a local community college in Continuing Nursing Education since 1998 and am limited to charging the same Fees that the other Instructors charge for Continuing Education Classes.

My classes are one full day from 8:30 am to 6:30pm. I generally do not have them all back to back and follow the regiment of regular classes. And Yes I do the attunement.   After teaching in the computer world, I discovered that too much information at one time is overwhelming and the student walks away thinking they know it, but the next day or week, they don't remember.

I did teach Reiki over the internet for free, however that was very limiting as well. The student didn't get the hands on working on people, so their self confidence and trust in what they were doing was very lmited. (I was Flute on Prodigy.net when I taught online)

What I charge has to do with who I am working with as well. There are times that I have charged Nothing, due to the family situation. (I work with a lot of Cancer Patients)

I have discovered that the insurance companies will pay about $45.00 per session for most therapeutic modalities (acupuncture, Chiropractic etc.) So your client will have to be able to come up with the difference if you charge more.  I have had insurance companies pay for Reiki. www.reikisanantonio.com

  5. depends, some places will charge for 3 or 4 attunments.....I paid $350 for reiki1, 2, and master/teacher level

  6. too much

  7. I'll do a distance "attunement" for free.

    Otherwise, you've paid too much.
