How much money is it to get in a modeling/acting school in new jersey for example barbizon?

i really want to get into an modeling/acting school so i can book and work like for disney channel and others channels and shows but how much money is it cause i'm not really wealthy and i want to go into barbizon but if any one kow how much money that is or if you know an acting/modeling school that cheap please tell me

Casablanca's, Barbizon, JRP and any of the other Modeling schools are just that - a school.

These places have open calls (sometimes they just get your number somehow and call you or send you something in the mail). They'll charge you thousands of dollars for training and photos.

Here's the thing - they're business is training, that's what they do. And when you spend your entire week trying to get model hopefuls to buy classes it doesn't leave alot of time to book work for the models. See where I'm going?

I've been in this business for over 8 years and I have yet to meet a model who did the school thing and felt the overly inflated prices they paid were worth it. And none of them got any work from the school they enrolled in.

If you want to get into modeling and your serious about it then I would encourage you to work with people who are serious about developing your talent - not just interested in your checkbook. I great place to visit would be OneModelPlace.com - it's a huge online community. You can network, find photographers to worth with (many of which will help you build a portfolio for free) and depending on where in the country you are you might even find some work there. Best of all, for models, OMP is free to join. As with anything on the Internet, DO YOUR RESEARCH before working with anyone. Check references and always bring an escort with you to any shoot.

Barbizon is a hugeee scam so dont even waste your time... i also live in new jersey.. the jcc in tenafly has great acting classes... also look into taking classes in new york.

I really, honestly barbizon is such a scam. i agree with the two people who reply to this. I truely understand you want to go on disneychannel, but theres no way you can guarentee that they will put you on disneychannel.

1- You must have some experience

2- You must know somebody to get you in.

3- Disneychannel "the building" is in Burbanks California, and you have to audition and they have to accept you.

4- You have to be a certain way. My sister told me they will not accept you if your ugly, fat, short, too tall. There gonna tell you to loose weight and end up making you get anorexic.

Modeling, dancing, gymnastics, cheering, acting seems alot of fun. its hard to get in. you have to audition. Take pictures that are 50$ a frame. You should get an agent which you have to pay a couple hundred to them. Try out for acting school. there not too cheap either. about 170$ for 1 hr. 400$ for 2-3 hrs. its not a good deal. but hey if you really want to, you'll have to fight for it. You dont have to really know somebody but you must have good experience if you dont know anybody. Start practicing at home, practice and get yourself in shape. and youll have some speed.

Going to those schools is no guarantee you'll book work and they cant promise you that. It's been my exp that most of those schools are shams...  Take the money you would spend and get good headshots as they are your calling card to the industry.  

Look on the internet  and find the address to folks in NJ and NYC and start to sent them  Headshots,..... good ones are Belle, Gilla Roos,  Images...look them up
