How much money is sufficient to survive in LONDON?

Iam from INDIA. I have4 have got a job in LONDON as a tutrist observor.I will get 40,000$ is it suffinest to survive in london.my family also with me and i want to live in at least 2 bed room house.

tell me I will get how much facitlities with my salary.

I'm single with no family, i think you're looking around £30-40k per year.

If you go up the north end of the UK it gets cheaper, currently where i live in Leeds i can survive quite well on 25k per year, that would be impossible in London.

Nope. One house can cost more then £200,000. Prices are rising. Renting a house can cost about £1000 per month. It is very expensive.
