I was watching 'The Notebook' and Ally's parents ask Noah how much he makes at the lumberyard...he says 40 cents an hour...and it's not a lot of money. That was in 1940...how much would that 40 cents be today? I was trying to figure it out because the house he is trying to sell is like 50 thousand dollars.
