How much money per year would it take for a person in their 20s to live comfortably in Camden or Islington?

  1. A lot.  When I was there, houses in Islington were going for around seven hundred thousand pounds.  And groceries aren't cheap either.  You could probably survive on five thousand a month, but you would need ten thousand a month to be reasonably comfortable.


  2. So much that it would make your head spin. Seriously property is around the £600,000 mark for a two bed flat to buy, average price. You can get cheaper but not by much, To rent in Camden is difficult unless you go in with several others. I cannot give you exact figures but it is quite an expensive place to live. Anyone says otherwise doesn't live there.

  3. With no debts or CC to pay off about £25k to £30k minimum. 1 bedroom flat rent a month is about £800 -£900 plus bills
