How much money should i ask for mowing this lawn?

i have a neighbor with a lawn that is more than 100 feet long (i measured) and at least 35 feet wide and that is just the back yard and its all on a hill. how much money should i ask for if i mowed her lawn.

  1. I would ask 45.00. You have to buy the gas, and use your mower. I would pay 45.00 and think its a great deal.  


  2. i would say you could either charge an hourly rate in addition to the cost of fuel or you could charge a lump sum. A lump sum would be recommended, and since the lawn is about 3500 square feet at least i would say 30-40 dollars, depending on how long it takes you. I would discuss it with your neighbor and see what they say. If it takes you 4 hours to do and you  charge 40 dollars you'd be making 10 dollars an hour. On the other hand if they only want to pay you 10 bucks, you'd be making 2.50 an hour. Discuss with them and do the math, that's the easiest way to solve your problem. Good luck!  

  3. 20 bucks of done with their mower / 25 if done with yours. Professionally this would be at least 65.00.
