This does not include room and board or flight tickets. Just the costs of every day life and maybe a little traveling.

  1. I live in Florence most of the year, think about what you normally spend.  Do you spend a lot on clothes?  Do you plan to buy a lot of clothes in Italy?  I spend about $400.00 a year on clothes, living here.  Travel is not all that expensive if you take day trips by train, plan $150 per trip and you will be fine.  Hotels are not cheap.  Eating out is expensive, two pizzas with wine and water cost about 30 euro, or $45.  Hope this helps.

  2. a lot....i know that florence is a very expensive place to live.....if you're going to be there for 3 months, i would suggest to bring 5,000 or 6,000 Euros....at least.....food, clothes, and everyday items like soap, shampoo, etc. are very expensive b/c u'll be in a major city in italy....outside of the city, in non-touristy cities, things are cheaper....plus, if u plan on doing some traveling, u should bring extra money....try to stay in hostels instead of hotels....its a great way to save money....my advice would be to bring a lot of money.....its always better to bring too much money than too little money....b/c then if u run out of money out there, ur pretty much screwed....but dont forget to have fun....italy is the best place in the world for traveling...there is soo much to do and soo much to see there....hope i helped!!  :p

  3. I'm Italian and i live in a town in Tuscany, near Florence, in Cortona (Frances Mayes'town), and here you can spend no more of about 1.000 - 1.500 euros for month.

  4. if you are a fat @ss a lot...otherwise don't come...stay in McDonalds'land.
