How much money should i spend on a skateboard if your a beginer?

i am a beginer a was wondering how much money i should spend on a decent board

You should go to a skateshop a build your own complete. This way, you will be able to custimize the board by choosing the deck, trucks, wheels, bearings, and alll that stuff. Also, you will be getting a sturdier, more solid deck.(Often made of 7 to 8 layers of wood)And one more thing, DON'T buy a board from walmart or stores like that, they aren't solid boards at all.

more than 100 if you planned on staying with the sport because you may re-use your trucks and bearing and wheels and risers... and then you only need to buy the decks you break.

Well if your a beginner than I would start off with a cheap K-Mart, Toy store skateboard. They suck more than anything but it's cheap (sometimes about 20 bucks for a complete toy store skateboard) and it helps you get the feel of your first skateboard and you can learn the basics. After you get the balance and feel for your board you should go to your public skate shop and buy a cheap blank deck, core trucks, blank wheels, and the cheapest bearings, hardware, grip, etc. ( Which may add up to somewhere between 80 to 100 bucks)

just head down to your nearest skateboard shop and buy a blank complete, also choose the right size board for you.

i use a 8 inch wide deck and i have size 11 feet and im doing well, but it all comes down to personal preference so try a few sizes from (7.5 to 8.25).

go to your local skateshop and build a complete. the deck will probably cost about 50 dollars. (every single deck at my skateshop cost $50 its weird) then grip tapes about 5 to 7 dollars. trucks will be bout 30 to 40 dollars. i dont know how much hardware costs but i doubt its more than 5 bucks. wheels will be bout 20 dollars and bearings will varry. so spend bout 100 to 130 dollars.
