Yesterday I spent approximately $100.00 US drinking a few beers and few drinks, eating, and gambling.

Citibank ATMs allow you to take out COP 700,000 in one withdrawal. There is one upstairs in the food court in Andino mall and another across from The Irish Pub in Zona T.

I would say very little in cash. Take your ATM card and use that. It will work at most banks. Da Vivienda being the best since you can take out 500,000 pesos a day... most limit you to 300,000.  I would take, perhaps, $100.00 cash for immediate needs. (Change it at the airport, youll need to pay the porter, the taxi ect) Calculating how much youll need in your account, I would say BEST hotels are $75.00 -$150.00  a night and up, Food - Wide range. Jaramillos at Parque 93 might be $50.00 a meal while a banda paisa might be $4,00 Entertainment is also subjective. I would say, if you want the vacation of a lifetime.. and are staying 3 months, between 10,000 and 20,000 USD.
