  1. i would take like $500 but lock it up in your suitcase when your not in the room. But when your on a port or something thing of how many stuff u kind of want.

    2-25                             10-130

    4-60                             15-230

    6-95                             20-300

    8-110                          25 and up- 400and up

Alsome keep about $25 in your bra just in case something happens

  2. $1000 sounds good.  If you don't spend it all- put it back in the bank - at least you know you will have enough.

I've been known to get my sea pass up to over $2000 for a 7 nighter.  LOL!

  3. well some cruise ships use your room key/card as a credit card, if your ship is one of those ships. not much. use would use money for drinks, upscale restautrants that aren't included your room package, and ports of call. other than that you truely don't use much money on a cruise ship. but if i were you call royal carribean and ask if your ship uses room keys as a credit account too.

  4. well honestly like A said some offer a card key. I'm not sure if RCCL offers one I only been on Carnival most likely they do.  um.. well if you do spend direct money it would be like on games, and bill payments at the end or anytime on your cruise. my suggestion would be just to bring around $850 just to cover cost and tips but also anything you may buy off shore on any trips once the ship is docked. Have Fun!

  5. The only cash you need is for tips onboard and at ports you may visit. On Carnival, even the casino accepted your ship card for gambling. On Royal Carribean, you had to use cash in the casino. This may have changed since last year when I went.

Most everything you will spend money on is charged to your ship card, then charged to your credit card at the end of the cruise. Taking $1000 in cash sounds high to me, unless you want to use cash instead of a credit card for your ship card. I typically spend $50 a day on board the ship, about $50-$100 at port each day.

  6. My husband and I prepay all our excursions and tips. Given that we take $100 per day for both of us.

  7. If you're a big shopper, you might want to take maybe $1200-$1500. If not, $1000 is plenty. We just got back from a 5 night cruise and we managed to stay under $1000. We put $600 on the credit card we used for charging on board purchases, such as casino, soft drinks, alcohol, pictures, and a lot of other little things. We took $400 with us on shore and that covered a little shopping, pictures from our excursions, and eating out. It's best to prepay your shore excursions because you don't know what you're getting if you buy it on shore. We prepaid for one and bought one on shore, and the one we bought on shore was....Let's just say it didn't go well. There are LOTS of stores and plenty of shopping, so if you're a big shopper you're going to want to take a little more money. You're going to be paying for EVERYTHING! The cruise covers your food, non-alcoholic beverages (except sodas and coffee), and they have plenty of on board activities. You have to pay for all of the extras like gambling, pictures and such. When you get on land, you're on your own, and you buy whatever you want, and do whatever you want. But make sure you get back to the ship on time. That's very important. Every single cruise that we've been on, someone has always been left behind. They will NOT wait for you. Good Luck!

  8. my wife and I just got back from a 7-nighter on Royal Caribbean and we put $700 on our Sea Pass card, which was plenty for us. We used the money on drinks, some shopping and even a few shore excursions.

We also took $500 cash, although we came back with very little of that.

For four days, I would say that $1,000, split between the card and cash should be enough to cover things, depending on how much you drink and how much you plan to spend in port.
