How much money was involved for Carl Edwards to sign?

I know Carl Edwards just signed another 3 years with Roush Fenway Racing and I know they said for how much when they announced it on tv but I can't remember how much he signed for. I was trying to tell my husband how much he signed for but I couldn't remember what they said. I know it was in the millions but how many millions?

AND on the Fox pre-race show, Chris Meyers said Edwards salary would be $6 million a year.
