It depends how cheap you want to get.  you could easily do cheap hotels in Brazil in the countryside and beaches for US$5-US$10 a day and spend about the same on food.

No way you can do that in Sao Paulo or Rio

Venezuela should be about the same outside of Caracas

Peru could be a bit cheaper and Argentina a bit more expensive.  I'd count on at least US$25-US$35 a day to enjoy some things.  if you want to drink and eat at nice restuarants, you could quickly double that.
