How much money will I spend if I live alone?

I just want an idea about how much $$$ will I spend a month to live by myself in an apartment. Rent, utilities, food, water. Are there other things you waste $$$ on? (Not including car payment n gas, car insurance, or phone)

Depending on where you live and what kind of neighborhood it is, i'd say you're looking to spend about 2,000 to 2,500 per month and that includes everything. That's about what my fiance and I spend per month on rent, utilities and other misc. expenses.

How posh do you want to live? Different areas cost different amounts but in my area $500 will get you a decent one-bedroom apartment. Then expect around $250 in utilities and another $50 for laundry expenses. About $200 a month in groceries. Make sure to budget in some money for clothes. If you buy a few here and there regularly you won't have to come up with a bunch at a time. I would say $50-100/month would keep you in decent fashion. That adds up to about $1,100/ month. You could do this cheaper or more extravagantly though.

A lot.  It really makes a difference on where you live and what state.  My estimate would be:

rent 750

food 200

utilities 100

misc things can go wrong so save for this 100

spending on this and that including entertainment and clothes, medicine, or whatever 250

good luck.  it can always be lower but you have to watch it.
