What will Palins' husband offer in service to support a vice-president?

How much will it cost us taxpayers',to provide secret service men to watch over her family, while she's vice-president?

Will they a ll live in the white house?

Will they leave their teenage pregnant, newlywed daughter behind in Alaska? And will they have their own secretservicee men?

Will their little baby, be left mainly with top rated nannies, and being a special needs child ,lack "the one to one" needed by her parents?

Why would Palin' choose to put her family in this media frenzy?

Did they speak with her daughter's future husband and his family *if they want to respect their daughters' future husband andtheiri son-in law,how they feel about being thrown into this. Will they also get secret service protection?

What if she doesn't win, will her daughters' private life being put out there for the world to tear apart, then be retractable?

Not only will her unwed pregnancy be out there ,but any other teenage girls'personal businesss?

Being an unwed mother is nothing to be ashamed of.But it was her mothers' career choice that will subject her family to I believe more than they should deal with. Just a few simple questions?

  1. I don't know what the cost will be.  But I am a Republican, and I was very disappointed in this choice.

I believe in pro-choice, and I believe in gun control.  So I don't like the choice of somebody that not only doesn't have any true experience (no offense, Alaska) but also is so extremist in her views.  I think it was a desperate and stupid move.  What does she even bring to the table?

Who cares that she's a woman?  That's not anything groundbreaking or anything to be applauded when she doesn't represent the majority of womens' (or men's) views and opinions.  It has to make you question McCain's judgement, not only on what he looks for in a running mate, but what he THINKS will win over the hearts of Americans.  How stupid to think that just because she is a woman that she will automatically garner votes.

Actually, one sad thing that I heard on MSNBC is that his campaign contributions actually have increased dramatically after announcing her as his running mate.  I hope that reporting was wrong.

And what you are inferring, I think is correct - that she is selfish.  If she was just a citizen making those choices, that's fine.  But as a potential world leader, I can't respect them since she is promoting her choices as the choices that others should have to follow AND putting her daughter in harms way.

Stupid, stupid, stupid choice for running mate...

  2. I was determined not to get caught up in this question today.  Yesterday, it had me furious.  Some people were writing truly cruel things about that girl Bristol.  Now you are trying to start the whole thing over again.  You have a right to ask.  I would never take away your right to ask.

I just wish it wouldn't start all the nastyness that I was seeing yesterday.  And it will start it all up again.

  3. you should check out the daughters' boyfriends(levi johnston) myspace page even though it may have been made private by now...--

in it--he calls himself a "****** redneck", he is 18 and she is 17 (illegal), he also hints that fatherhood is "not in his immediate plans" and that he said " i dont want kids"...

--and why is this dirtbag going to the national convention??? this family is starting to remind me of alaskan white trash

  4. To answer the non-political parts of this (Not that anyone cares...)

Palin's husband can continue to work (as does Cheney's wife now), or be a house husband.

We would pay about the same for Palin's family as we would any other family for VP's Secret Service and other protection.

The VPs family does not live at the White House, they live at the VP's Mansion on the grounds of the Naval Observatory. It's over 9,000 square feet -- large enough for the kids and any to come.

Immediate family members get SS protection even if they are living in Alaska, as the Bush and Clinton daughters did while in school, etc. The inlaws don't.

Chelsea Clinton was a teenager in the White House, and the Bush twins were 18 when their father arrived. I believe Gore had some teenagers in the VP Mansion. Not new. No one hears about the VP's family once the VP is in office.

Oh -- and McCain does get Secret Service protection. He didn't initially, but not being protected puts others in danger and doesn't save money. He's been protected for a while now.

  5. john mccain uses NO secret service money,

Obama has been costing us for 18 months now.

DOn't you have anything better to talk about, also like obama even said. "children are off limits"  so your question is really none of your business.
