  1. first off:

i've been on 2 carnival cruises and and im going on my next in 10 days.

THEY DO NOT CHARGE FOR FOOD!

they Charge 15% Gratituity for Staterooms and drink Cards & Everything else you buy.

10 dollars a day per a person 10x3x4=120 dollars + your 1500=1620 + what ever else they charge.

& the answer to your Question is no. it wont be enough.

If your planning on doing EXCURSIONS on the island then no.

    Bring about 1000-2000 dollars.

For the excusions and Plus for the casino's and plus for the four day parking at the pier. pier parking costs around 10 dollars a day so your looking at 40 dollars out of about 2000 dollars now, so you could be left with 1960.

    Which should be enough.

If your planning on NOT doing Excursions than bring about 1100 Just incase you might accidently run into expenses.

but however, also you might want to eat on the island. i've been to cozmel and yes they have Wonderful places to eat. ;]

I've been twice. and there are Shopping complexes.

So yes. 1100 should Cover it! :]

    Hope i helped!

  2. There's more to consider:

Tips are automatically added to your sign & sail card at $10 per person per day. (A lot of people tip above and beyond that. You decide.)

There's a fuel charge - was that included in your price already?

Soda & alcoholic drinks are extra. Coffee tea and juice are free.

If you use (free) room service, tip the delivery person a dollar or two.

If you want any of the photos, they're extra.

Things they sell at their stores are pretty high - film, dramamine, Pringles, suntan lotion, so make sure you bring your own.

  3. The food is included on the ship, except for alcohol and cokes.

You will need money if you plan on eating on land, and for excursions and souveniers. If you want to go snorkeling, that will cost. Or canoing, guided hike, submarine tour, etc. I think $500 to $600 if you plan on doing any of these. I am going in Feb and will bring $800 only because I plan to do several excursions. I don't drink alcohol, and drink only bottled water. And we are taking a tote of crackers and snacks so we won't eat big meals on the islands. A friend told me I am bringing way more than I need. It is a 5 day cruise.

  4. I have never cruised with Carnival before, but Royal Caribbean has everything included except for alcoholic drinks.  In that case you will only need souvenier money.  You will need to pay the gratuity and that alone can run up.  If you want to do any shore excursions that will cost you some money too.  Those are things that are not included in the price of the cruise.  Food should be, unless it's a specialty restaurant on board.  They have nominal fees.  You don't have to eat at those restaurants - your meals on board should be included in your cruise deal.

    Enjoy your cruise!

Check with Royal Caribbean next time - in my opinion they have the best fares, boats, entertainments...etc.

  5. My girlfriend and returned from the Carnival Paradise yesterday and our bill from our account was $274. That was a 4 night cruise and only spent money on drinking. We also spent $98 each for our scuba diving excursion in Catalina Island. In Ensenada, we just bar hopped and spent about $50. You're meals and drinks like tea, coffee, juice are covered. You will have to buy beer and soda; and your excursions as well. With Carnival. They will also include a 15% tip with that. You will be charged $7/day/person for gradutidies on your ship account if you haven't already pre paid them. Have fun, it will be a blast!!!

  6. i would say 2000

  7. It will totally depend on you and what you like to do.   The gratuity is something everyone pays, and the service is excellent and well deserved.  However, if you drink a lot of alcoholic beverages from the bar - you'll need a lot more money.  If you don't drink anything but water and coffee - you won't have to worry about that.  If you plan on just spending time on the boat and wandering around the local towns - you won't need excursion money.  If you plan on doing a lot of excursion, you'll need a lot more money.  I've gone when I was broke and I've gone when I wasn't.  You can have a great time either way - but it's better to have the extra money in case you decide to add something here or there.  Check your cruise line website to figure out what excursions are going to be offered in the ports where you will be stopping.  It's a great way to get a preview and see if anything grabs you.

Also, read the "things to know before you cruise" very carefully (every cruise line has one on their website).  Sometimes there are charges you may or may not expect.  For instance, if you splurge on a bottle of wine at dinner, they may charge you to have the wine stewart open it.  The use of the fitness center may be free, but a class may not be.  Stuff like that.  Know before you go.

  8. For me and my boyfriend on a 3 day cruise, we spend $600.00 on our sign and sail card and that included souvenirs, Pictures, Tipping and lots of alcohol drinks. Off the boat we spent only about $100 on a couple of souvenirs, a bus ride to La bufadora and Lunch. So I'd say for a 3 day any where between $500-$800 would work and that's if your splurging... If you are trying to be money conscious (which we wern't) I think $400 would work.

  9. it depends on what kind of cruise and company you want

  10. all inclusive cruises don't cost much extra spending money except perhaps for souvenir shopping...you got a good decent deal if food and drink is included.
