  1. I would say a lot. It depends on where you intend to stay. If you think 20 Europe per night ish times 365 days it's around 7000 euros. I'm assuming you'l take a tent and maybe have some friends places where you can sleep but the accommodation costs alone are massive. then you have to factor in food and travel and you are looking at a lot of money.

Your best bet, if you have the travel bug, is to go and stay in one place. Get a job and travel around in your free times and weekends. move on every few months.

why Europe? Why not go to Australia? It's such a different experience from Europe.

  2. If you stay away from expensive locations and as you say, use your tent as much as possible, you could get by on the equivalent of about £10 a day - this is for basics only, food and possibly short distance travel.  If you are prepared to walk [march] quite long distances, say 20 miles a day, you'll cut your travel costs.  What's the rush, you've got a year?

  3. a h**l of a lot.

  4. Alot. I would say a min of thirty thousand American dollars. Europe is expensive & your thirty thousand American dollars will turn into 15 thousand Euros.

  5. include money for rent, food, bus, taxi and plane tickets, insurance, clothes,,,

  6. Depends on where you want to travel. Ireland is expensive, and you'd catch your death if you spend the winter in a tent. The same for Britain, and most parts of Northern Europe.

Plan it out properly, and find out what type of jobs you could do where accommodation would be included.

  7. alotttttttttttttttttt......probly like 1000 dollars idk s0mething like that well i have been like all over the world like right know i am in thighland...so it is really expensive but fun and i like it is really enjoy it

  8. for a year?

    about 100 grand?

  9. google STA travel or travellerslounge. Good buget ideas there. Depends where you go and how long you want to go for.

  10. Depends on how long you wanna stay there and how many countries you'll go to.  For me, I went to seven countries in 16 days.  It cost me (in summer of 2000) about $4,000, but I barely had enough money for food and souvenirs.  So I would say, save about $5,000. if you wanted to stay in Europe for about two weeks.

Also, Google "youth hostels in France" or where ever you happen to be going.  Do this for each place.  Youth hostels are -like- little family owned, extremely cheep, but clean places to sleep and will save you tons!!!   They are a lot safer and more comfortable than a tent, plus you get to meet lots of other travelers.

    Happy travels!
