  1. I have a steel building (Cleary) with 2 stalls.  It's not big, there is no tackroom (we are going to build that part ourselves).  But just to have the building put up, the stalls built, and water/power run the the building, it cost us about $30,000.  And like I said, my building is SMALL (24 X40 I think).  I would have preferred a bigger one but that's all I could afford.

  2. We just got done with that. A 2 stall isn't much with a tack/feed room. A well built one with everything included ( doors/electic/ paint/flooring/ hardwares etc.) runs from 8-10 k  However there is a cheaper option:

An over hang shelter can easily be converted to an enclosed of partially enclosed barn. Over hang shelters are only about $1500. Get room enough to make 2 12x12 stalls and however much room for storage you need. Got lowes or better yet a lumber yard and order 2x4's the the measurements needed. When that arrives s***w do NOT nail it. Screws grip and hold longer than nails, which split boards. Once screwed, it will take a.5 hourse max, you can order the hardware and doors to size. Doors cost from $150-$300 a peice depending on how nice you want the door. A regular door you can order for the storage room and install in 20 minutes. Horse stlal doors generally come with the hardware needed. The last thing is rubber matts or better yet foam floor. Hang hardware for the buckets, about 10 minutes and $5 total. And then hang gutter and gutter gaurds if needed.

note- besure the overhang has the trusses required and you sink it deep in the ground or into a perminate foundation.

This option in total is about $3000-$4000

An even cheaper option is to get the over hang and enclose the 2 stalls with galvinized steal cattle gates. they cost about $50 each, you'll need about 6 or 7 and 2 galavinized doors. This partially encloses the horses. As for storage a neat storage kit can be as little as $800 depending on how much room you need. If it's just 2 saddles, and feed bins, it will be cheap this option is $2500-$3000

If you want no fuss, get it devilered and built from a barn supply/builders. but they can cost about 8k-10k. If you are willing to spend this much I recommend getting a steal shew row building and enclosing it. This gives you a center isle barn for the same price, you just need to spend a bit more enclosing it. You can enclose it with cement or plywood with silding on the outside and clean 2x4's on the inside. You can also get another dropped and get an indoor arena!

Consider the option carefully. Can you do the labor yourself? Or do you have the means for it to be dropped and built? you can save a lot of cash buy putting in some elbow grease

  3. When we looked at barns, they were like 60 thousand.

2 stalls and room to store everything would probably run at least 40 or 50, depending on all the details.

  4. in the dover magazine they sell supplies and everything and it'll run you about 20,000 dollas

  5. It depend on alot. Would you build it or have a company do it. Wood varies at different prices as well. Would you have electric? Water? Barns are made in all different ways...so it's hard for estimates unless your good with construction :)
