How much money would this end up to be?

Well i am trying to convince my mom to drive us both to a concert being held in Philidelphia, and i live in Pennsylvania.

She said it is going to be like 800 dollars for gas the way to and back and for a one night stay at a motel.

But i completely dont believe that, it may be true, but i wanna know from you guys, because im thinking my mom is saying that because she doesnt want me to go, after i already payed for the tickets and got the plans set she said i couldnt go because too much money.

So my question is: How much money would it be to go from Pennsylvania to Philidelphia? How much money for gas totally, and how much for a one night motel stay.

Plan on $1 per mile for use of the car.

Plan on $200/night ($250 after taxes) for a hotel room.

Plan on $200 for food, etc.

Yes, your mom is saying she doesn't want to do this--and as mom, she wins.

Um.... Philadelphia IS in Pennsylvania.  To get the answer here, you would need to know the miles to and from your destination (use mapquest or google maps to get that number easily), then divide by the average gas mileage of your vehicle to get the gallons used.  Multiply that by the price of gas in your area per gallon, and you'll have a rough estimate on gas costs.  For a decent hotel room you can plan on at least $50-75, depending on where you stay, so add that to your total.  Budget for buying food for the time you'll be out there.  That should give you an estimated total.
