  1. There is no difference in the two. They are the exact same species but are selectively bred to have a different "color morph." There are also white oscars, "lemon" oscars etc... Some are even bred to have long flowing fins for a more ornamental look. They are all the same fish, Astronotus ocellatus, a member of the cichlid family. Also known as the marble cichlid or sometimes velvet cichlid.

    So, the color has no effect on the behavior of the fish.

    Hope that helps! I once had a tiger oscar and a white oscar, the tiger grew to about 11 inches and weighed around 2.5 lbs. and the white oscar I gave away to make room in my tank for a couple of smallmouth bass.
