  1. 27% more consistent, 19% more impressive and 11% more positive :-)

Seriously, he was the best he's ever been for England, and seems to have left behind those horror spells when he served up complete rubbish. However, it should be noted that more than half of those wickets were taken in demolishing the Kiwis - he never took more than 3 in an innings against South Africa, so he's not the complete package yet.

  2. I think sometimes dropping a player does him a lot of good.Possibly makes him realize he's not as good as he might have thought he was.I'm not saying that this was the case here, but being dopped will certainly give serious players food for thought, and make them realize that their place in the team is not guaranted.

  3. he took wickets against NZ and SA in the home season in 2008

  4. I agree he has become more consistent (his bowling average is 27 this year in 9 games), but there's a number of reasons for this.

First of all, playing in good swinging conditions like in New Zealand and in England, a good fast swing bowler should be taking a lot of wickets, conditions in New Zealand suited his type of bowling, and he has always performed well at home (Leading wicket taker against India last year). Before judging him and coming to the conclusions that he is now a more complete player, we will have to see how he does in not so helpful conditions like in the sub-continent.

His change in action also is a reason why he is more consistent, in the early days Anderson had a more stressful and slingy action, which resulted in constant back problems, whilst this bowling action increased his pace, it was hard for him to be accurate. Since changing his action to relieve the tension in his back, he has become more accurate and the pace hasnt dropped that much either. In 2008 he became fully comfortable with his bowling action, and you could see that by the way he was controlling his in-swingers and out-swingers in the test matches.

So Anderson has become one of England's most consistent bowlers, he needs a good tour of the sub-continent and then The Ashes place should be guarenteed

  5. he is not that consistence

  6. he is best swing bowler of england .

he showed his class against INDIA ,SA ,NZ and will show in next ashes

  7. I still have question marks over him. Far too often he will only produce the goods in one innings of a match. Plus when he starts a spell and goes for a few his head goes down. If i was the opposition he would be the bowler I targeted to go after.
