How much more popular is BBC Radio 2 than Virgin Radio?

BBC Radio 2 has Terry Wogan, Steve Wright, Jeremy Vine, Chris Evans, Jonathan Ross, Dermot O'Leary, Russel Brand, Jonnie Walker... what has Virgin Radio got? Some trump called Christian O'Connel who I've never heard of?

Virgin are well better than Radio 2, so what half Radio 2 aren't celebrities, yeah they used 2 be on the telly 20 years ago. Virgin plays good music, the only reason Radio 2 is more popular because that broadcasts to the whole nation on F.M. so people can listen to it in there car, you can only get Virgin in london if you're in your car.

How can you tell how popular a station is compared to another?  People might only listen to a station because the reception is clear, or they aren't in control of the radio and have to listen to what someone else chooses.

With some people, I bet Virgin Radio is very popular.  Others, probably like Radio 2.  The point is that having two stations gives listeners the choice.  If there was no Virgin, then people would be forced to listen to Radio 2, and they might not like that.

According to the latest radio figures, people across the U.K. prefer radio 2, 5 times more than virgin.

13 million people listen to radio 2 and only 2.5 million listen to virgin.

Evidently radio 2 is the most listened to radio station in the U.K. so virgin are miles behind!

I think R2 is the more popular station, in fact i'm sure they have more listeners than R1! All this is trivial though, as the best staion at the moment is BBC6Music, on digital, especially Jon Holmes show!
