  1. First, the US only gets a relatively small amount of its oil from the Middle East about 20%.  Most of the imported oil comes from Canada, then Mexico, then South America, and then a variety of other places.

Here is a site that will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about how and where we get our oil:

  2. that is almost impossible to track as the US buys oild from many different countrys so your gas can come from anywere.

  3. A barrel of crude oil went for $104.40 today. It changes daily like stocks.

Here is a website to get the info to answer your question.

Crude oil has to be refined and turned into gasoline. The problem is the refineries here in the US are old, slow and can't produce as fast as the demand is. We buy crude oil from the Middle East not gasoline.

How many gallons of gas are made from a barrel of crude oil? I don't know that answer.

It's an interesting question you ask and should cause you to read more to understand.

  4. I don't know

BUT It must be very profitable

The worlds most expensive licensce plate went for 14.3 million dollars and it's made of aluminum and has the #1 on it. It is worth more than the car making it the world's most expensive license plate.

The previous record was held by Abu Dhabi plate number 5, bought at auction for $6.8 million by stock broker Talal Khouri last year.

The oil-rich cities of the Persian Gulf are driven by car culture, with relatively few pedestrian areas or public transport options. Vanity plates are a matter of personal pride and indulgence.

  5. too much
