  1. I have about a handful of nuts a day.

They are called soy nuts because they are roasted and are somewhat similar to peanuts...which is also not a nut but a legume

  2. Total it should be about 1/4 c of nuts n seeds from what I was told by the nutritionist in my doctors office when I had my last health check.  So if its in salads, breads or just a handful your doing good.

Why is a soy nut called a soy nut: Its a soy bean that has been soaked in water then baked crispy and crunchy.

  3. i eat at least 3 but 2-3 is fine as long as u watch intake on calories that is all that really matters the most

According to the vegan food guide two servings total.

That can be 2 1/2 tbsp of nut butter with another 1/4 cup of nuts or seeds, or 1/2 cup of nuts and seeds total.  The half cup of nuts and seeds is what  works for me personally. I like to add and  disperse them throughout meals in various recipes.
