How much of a difference does eye makeup make?

Question

So i was looking in the mirror today and i realized that my eyes are hideous without makeup on. They are single lidded and small. But when i have makeup on they look bigger and it doesnt look like i have a single eyelid. Just wanted to hear others people's views on how differend my eyes look. And im ready for the bashers so bash on.

PS i know the pic with no makeup on looks like i am cross-eyed. I was really close to the camera.

yep you definately look better with eye make up on- actually it looks gorgeous!!

the eyeliner opens your eyes and the mascara lengthens the lashes which also opens the eyes...is that liquid eyeliner? it looks hot- how did you manage to apply in so perfectly?

make up looks great on you, but remember to give your eyes a rest from all those chemicals once in a while!!

Because you were closer to the camera on the 3rd photo, it looks like your eyes are bigger there.

But I agree, your eyes look completely different when you have makeup on. The makeup gives the illusion of an eyelid and it accentuates your eyes, so yes, it looks a lot different.

You eyes aren't hideous without makeup on! I guess it depends on how you look at it, but either way I like them :)

Can I answer from a guy's opinion?  You have beautiful eyes with and without the makeup. Don't wear too much, let your natural beauty show by accentuating with a little makeup.

I did finally talk my gf into wearing less eye makeup. No more raccoon eyes for her. :)

And yes I too like the photo of your friend with the peace sign in reflection of your eyes.

I believe that if used in the correct way eyemake up does a great job. i have a huge scar across my left eye and when i put make-up on... suddenly it almost disapears. you look great with make-up on but just remember to have a break every now and then. give your eyes a rest when you're only at home or damage can be done if used constantly and in an incorrect way.

i have small eyes too and i used to wear eyeliner just to make dem look bigger but i stopped using eyeliner a couple of weeks ago and now i think i look beautiful ( not conceited ok))  to tell u da truth i dont even wear make up well just lip gloss!!

but if u dont want to stop wearing eyeliner well just dont use the black color cuz dat one makes ur eyes look even smaller!!

Your eyes are not hideous. I'd love to have such a smooth upper eye area, and such big, wide open eyes, but no I've got squinty tiny eyes.

I think that, like anything, it depends on how you apply your eye makeup, what colors you use, and how much you use. Different things work for different girls. In most cases, though, I think that eye makeup helps to emphasize the beautiful parts of us, and to help them stand out, while drawing attention away from things we'd rather change.

I'm sure you look gorgeous with no makeup on, too...but the shot is way too close! Try again in better lighting, and showing us a whole face!

i think your eyes look bigger without makeup bit it does show that you are single-lidded much more.
