I am an old hippy from the past.    & yes I am against the war. What is the difference of what they are doing in other countries & what happens here when someone slaughters innocents just because he had a bad day?   Why does it make it okay?   My brother went to Vietnam for 3 years back in the 70's.   Like all wars it was a farce.  Today he suffers from Post Tramatic Stress & has to take medications so he can deal with his guilt of what he was told to do.   Today I do not smoke weed.  That is a thing of the past.  & yes I love to venture out & visit Mother Nature because it is calm & colorful, peacefull.   One doesn't have to be a hippy to enjoy nature.  I still wear my hair long & I am opinuated & sometimes too blunt when I have something to say.  But I try to live a simple life & enjoy life & respect it.

Hate war?  No, hate the need for it, hate that people are so dumb, mindless and intransigent that it is their only answer to conflicts.

Smoke weed:  Have, over some years, years ago and don't - after having seen what people let it do to them.  For me, a couple of tokes was 'enough' for me to enjoy it and myself and whatever I was doing / listening to.  Others went on smoking just because it was there to smoke ....and got totally wasted (and wasted the weed too).

Venturing out:  Depends on the terms you envisage those words meaning!  I trained in psychotherapy and massage whilst practising being a photographer, calligraphist, watercolour artist, model maker and so on ....while working full time (ancillary) in the NHS.

Hippy....! I don't know (I still have the beard though).

Im about 50/50.  Most people who know me would never say i was a hippie!  My style is mostly prep....polo's, nice new...etc. nice, clean hair cut....short!  but I have yet to see a war that i agree with. I smoke everyday....which im legal to do in my state. I eat healthy....mostly whole foods, but not crazy vegan.  I believe we are never going to sustain the planet the way we are.  I have gave up gas guzzlers.  I wish there was more love in the world.  I would say Im sit firmly on the fence and understand both sides and pick what make the most sense!

I am not much of a hippy. I hate the war, but still support the soldiers as best i can. They are supporting their country, and whether i believe in the war or not should not affect my support for the soldiers.

I don't smoke weed. I have tried it before but did not like it and decided it was not for me.

I don't find myself venturing out either. I don't like change much. I don't even like going on vacation, ha.

im not exactly proud of it, but I can't deny who I am, I am a modern day hippy, I'm against war, smoke alot of herbs.. love nature, hate corporations and beurocracy, big "conspiracy" buff, wide range of aquaintances that stereotypically wouldn't expect, just about every stereotype you can throw out.
