  1. It depends on your earnings.

You have a certain amount of tax free allowance which is deducted from your tax.

Tax rates are 20% on the first € 35400 and 41% on the rest.

    For example-

    A single person earning  Ã¢Â‚¬ 29000

    Tax credits = €1830

    20% of € 29000 = €5800

    €5800 - €1830 = €3970

€3970 is the tax you pay

    A single person earngin €42000

    Tax credits = €1830

    20% of € 35400 = €7080

    41% of €6600 = €2706

    €7080 + €2706 =  Ã¢Â‚¬9786 - €1830 = €8910

    You pay €8910
