up in the perfect scenario for both teams. In short, Bynum and Deron seem to be perfect swap options.
Besides, the Nets have a promising centre Brook Lopez, who has fast become a trade candidate as well. In case he leaves, the room will be wide open for Bynum to make an impact in a less demanding environment.
Thridly, the Lakers have another option in the best point guard of the league right now. Yes, Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets is another one of the prospective free agents and will be a wonder addition to the aspiring Lakers
side. However, Paul has alleged his loyalty to the Hornets and has not stated any inclination to move out of the club just yet.
Either way, the Lakers do have options to pursue by sacrificing their centre Andrew Bynum. There is no doubt regarding Bynum’s talent and aggressive play. His main shortcoming has been his knee injuries which have caused him to
miss plenty of games in his young career. Of the games he played last year, he bagged 11.3 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game.
As a concluding statement, whether the Lakers use Bynum as a trade asset or give him time to work on his injuries, there is no doubt that he is of great value to the club. Maybe one day Bynum might stand as the best centre in the
league, however, trading him is a gamble the Lakers seem to be willing to take as of now.
