How much of an impact do you think your moon sign has on you?

Question

I ask because I'm a Taurus moon, and don't exactly feel anything from this. Its only influenced my overall personality VERY SLIGHTLY, if even at all..

The only thing I identify with is the possession (I admit, I'm possessive of my loved ones!) and the stability/devotion (I don't give up easily when I feel deeply for someone). But both of those are also traits of my sun sign Scorpio..

So, I have to ask, how much do you think your moon sign plays a role in your life or personality?

My Virgo in the Sun and Virgo in the moon makes me a girlie girl, my nails and toes always have to be done, I always wear pink. I keep my skin shining because I make sure I take my vitamins, I do my own toes and finger nails and I do my own wash and sets, and when I get braids I do them myself. So that I know it comes out just how I like it. My Capricorn Ascendant makes me know how to manage money, and discipline my children in the correct way. I do feel like my 3 earth signs are so me, and that is why I am so laid back and down to earth for real.

Mmm, I agree. My moon sign is so not me. I'm an Aries moon and I'm not impatient, I'm extremely tolerant, but I am irritable, only when I'm on my time of month haha. I don't know, I don't feel like my moon.

I'm a Libra, and my moon sign, I give it little notice, to me it's not important, but I guess it is.

same as you, i have a taurus moon and a water sign as a sun sign. tauruses are suppose to have steady emotions, but my pisces sun and scorpio rising make me moody and unstable. the ability of ur moon sign to affect ur feelings is based on how strong or weak the other signs are. so even if i have a taurus moon, my two dominant water signs make me unpredictable, tempermetal, and sometimes, bent on revenge.

The Moon is definitely an extremely important factor, esp. in the charts of women as it represents the archtypal vision of the Materal or Mother figure. But equally important is the House placements and aspects that the Moon makes to the other planets in your natal chart.

The fact that your Sun and Moon oppose each other (you were born during a Full Moon) makes you resilient to a lot of things. This is a powerful Moon placement, esp. when the Moon is exalted in Taurus as well. As you know, opposites may be far apart on the wheel but there are also interestingly enough similarities found between them.

Possessiveness is definitely a Fixed sign trait, be it Scorpio or Taurus. In fact, these two signs are the most possessive in the entire zodiac. And the others traits of stability/devotion is yet another Fixed sign trait and these are present in the Tuarus and Scorpion influence personality. With that said, it may be difficult for you to distinguish the differences at times because those triats are found in both Fixed signs.

Do note the aspects that the Moon in your chart makes to the other planets as well because they could either heighten or lessen its influence based on how negative/positive they are. Nevertheless, Sun-Moon Opposition indicates that while your heart tells you one thing, your concious self may instinctively pull you in the opposite direction. This could lead to a confusion as to which part of your psyche dominates your personality - Sun or Moon?

On a final note, the Moon sign and House placement is how we react to matters of emotional stress/tension and how we retreat into our safe haven whenever we are faced with obstacles. It is an extremely important indcation when it comes to the emotional facet of our personalities. It also reps what makes us feel safe within on a deep instinctive level. Therefore, its significance certainly cant be discounted.

well i think it can also depend on what your moon sign is perhaps, like if you had a cancer or scorpio moon your likely to be very emotional, but your sun sign shows the whole you and so the sun sign can override a not very prominant moon sign, a taurus moon would be docile, positive and practical in her emotions. And so this is not as prominant as your scorpio sun :)
