  1. 70% of earth is water. In that 2.7% is freshwater but of the 2.7 only .7 is in the form of liquid water the rest is stored as glaciers

  2. 70% of earth is water. In that 2.7% is useable freshwater. and only 23% of freshwater can be used as drinking water

    -----

All the Water in the World:

97% is salt water (oceans, seas)

slightly less than 3% is fresh water (polar ice caps, groundwater, rivers, lakes, wetlands, etc.)

All the Fresh Water in the World:

    77% polar ice;

    22% groundwater

    1%rivers, lakes, wetlands, etc.

    Fresh Water People Can Use

23% can be used for drinking water from:

    --------22% groundwater

--------less 1% rivers, lakes, wetlands, etc.

  3. 70%, 50% we can use

  4. 25% of the planets surface is land

75%of the surface is water and it is rising

    ------------------------------...

97%of the Earths water is salt

fresh water is only 3% of all the Earths water

most of it is beyond out reach

now much ice is melting and running into the seas fresh water lost for ever.

STORAGE or Location of % of the fresh water

    ice and glaziers 74%

    groundwater 800 meters + 13.5 %

    groundwater less than 800meters 11.o%

    Lakes 0.3%

    soils 0.006%

    Atmospheric in circulation 0.0035%

    rivers 0.03%

frozen land or permafrost is not included and represent an unavailable storage of 40%

so of the 3% about 11.6 ,is easily available to us ,in rivers, lakes and ground water surface aquifers, more and more of this is becoming contaminated

  5. The earth is covered in about 70% of water.  Fresh water is about 1%.
