IE. 25 - 30G Kia, Honda civic, Toyota camry..

40 - 80G bmw 3, mercedes C, audi

90 - 150G bmw 7, mercedes SL, audi s4..etc.

do you think that mostly people buy the kind of car they drive base on the money they make or just because they like certain kind of car?

would you buy a top of the class car like mercedes or bmw right away if say you won the lottery or something?

  1. I personally drive what I catches my eye or what I can afford. If I won the lottery, I think I would still keep my current car. Probably spend the money traveling.

  2. The truly rich tend to buy ordinary cars in order to maintain a low profile. Alternately, they are chauffeured around in limos. My choice would be a limited production Italian sports car.

  3. Many people who have money buy cars that project their wealth and social status, although some people buy more car than they can afford to project a false wealth or status.

If I won the lottery, I wouldn't buy Mercedes or Audi, which are not very reliable. I would buy a Porsche GT3. Lexus LS460, or BMW 7 Series.

  4. I don't think I would ever drive euro trash like bmw's and benzs,

  5. If you only make 100k, you probably shouldn't be in a bmw 7 series.

If I won the lottery, I'd probably buy a new house before I'd get a new car.  If I did buy a new car, I'd probably get a dependable car and pay cash for it.  A flashy car is nice, but not having a car payment is even nicer :)

  6. Typically you buy what you can afford, and in cars you certainly get what you pay for.  The more you spend, the better car you have.  Better can be performance, options, quality, looks etc.
