How much of our American Oil is being sold to China and other countries?

I've heard that it's a pretty large amount. Isn't there something the government can do to protect our national resource from being sold to the highest bidder?

Free market politics does not protect consumers even when the oil is drilled from public land that belongs to the taxpayers.

That is the protection.  Highest bidder takes.   Money in exchange.    It is the way of free enterprise.
