I was wondering what percentage of the worlds forests can be destroyed before it has a serious impact on global air quality(a significant decrease in oxygen levels and a significant increase in carbon dioxide levels)? Obviously algae produces most of the worlds oxygen and absorbs the most carbon dioxide but would this be enough to keep global air quality at present levels without any remaining forests? P.S if you have a source include that too.
