How much oil do you put in the gas for a mercury boat motor?

i recommend that you use 50:1 ratio and also make sure your oil that you are going to use meets or exceed tcw3 standards...Penzoil makes a good but cheap synthetic oil that i use all the time.

50 to 1 mix look on the bottle of oil to find the right amount and don't use cheap oil buy the good stuff from a Marine shop

so for 20 litres of fuel 400 millilitres of oil

that is a marine oil

no more no less

too much oil will mess up your plugs

too little oil will overheat and cook your motor

just keep one thing in Mind to much oil is better then not enough, personally I don't mind a little smoke. can you describe more about your motor? what year what size?   this would be a big help.
