  1. A little less today than we will tomorrow.

    Go hug a tree.

  2. Approximatively 20 million - 21 million barrels of crude oil per day:

A barrel of crude oil is 44 gallons.  A barrel of crude oil "makes" (after being refined into) gasoline: roughly 19.5 gallons of "car gas."  This varies as oil from different locations "make" more or less gas per barrel.  The worst being Venezualea which is something like 10 gallons of gas per barrel, and the best ebing Texas ans Saudi Arabia which is something like 28 gallons of gas per barrel.

If you're wondering, the next highest consumer of Oil is China, and they're a little over 1/3 what we consume (USA).  In one year it's roughly 7.3 billion to 7.6 billion barrels of crude oil per year used in the USA alone.

Strangely enough also:  we (USA) are the #3 producer of oil in the world, at 8 million or so barrels of oil a day... we just use WAY more than we have.  To put that into perspective:  Saudi Arabia produces about 10 million barrels of oil a day and are the #1 produce of oil in the world, but consume only a little over 2 million barrels of it a day.
