How much owner has to add on pay check as social,fedral ect?

i get paid as 189.30......owner deducted 56 from my pay check(246-189.30)=56.....as a ferdral,social and others kind of tax......does owner have to PAY MY FEDRL AND SOCIAL...OR I HAVE TO PAY MY SELF...PLZ HELP MEE

  1. Your employer is required by law to withhold the tax, CPP and EI premium from your pay cheque, and then give you the NET amount.  Your employer is also required to add his/her portion of your CPP and EI and remit them to the government.http://www.taxtips.ca/cppandei.htm

    Meanwhile, you are not required to remit any further salary tax, CPP or EI to the govt, other than to file your personal tax return next spring after your employer gives you a T4 slip showing the income tax, CPP and EI withheld from you in the previous year.


  2. The owner of your company is required by law to take deductions off your payroll earning for EI, CPP/QPP, Federal and Provincal taxes and remit them to the Government.  At the end of the year you will receive a T4 showing the totals of these amount in order for you to do your Personal Tax return.
