  1. You should NOT blow bubbles in the tank-- you do NOT exhale oxygen!!!  If your tank has a filter (it had better if you want the fish to stay alive), it will allow sufficient oxygen into the water without an airstone.  Blowing bubbles will just raise the CO2 levels, which will kill the fish more quickly than it would from hypoxia (oxygen starvation).

  2. The dissolved Oxygen level for fish of your type is 8 mg/l. If your filter is a hang-on-back waterfall type, you won't need a bubbler to have that level of dissolved Oxygen. All bubblers/power filters do is break the surface tension of the water allowing Carbon Dioxide out and atmospheric air in.

  3. blow bubbles thru a straw...LOL...thts really funny...OK..if its just 1 guppy in a 2 gallon bowl..then she will survive without the bubbler for 2 days...but cannot be guaranteed..as a bowl is really not appropriate..since it does not have filter and a heater...get a 10 gallon tank minimum...but why would your buy 1 guppy alone...and keep her in a 2 gallon bowl..you should have really got the tank first, cycled it and then got the fish..after 3-4 weeks...research on fishless cycling and guppy care...Return the fish as of now....get the tank and then plan on what to get...

  4. the pet assistant must be crazy. that won't work.

what u can do is to change 20% of the water on daily basis.

    do not overfeed the guppies..

btw, how many guppies and the size of tank?
