  1. You only need one gallon.  I got Wamart's own brand and it is excellent and cheaper.  (Rated very high)  and no primer.

  2. 2-gallons-a gallon covers 350-400 sq.ft-u need 2-coats

the dims u gave dos not say the height.

i am guessing with the window being 10-ft that is the height

    12x9 for ceiling=108

    2walls 12x10 = 240

    2walls 9x10= 180 minus 2-doors =40 1-window =40 walls 100

    total sq ft448

  3. Depends on the color.  A deep color could require two coats which equals two gallons.  For a lighter color one would work.

To save money AND make your paint last longer use a good quality tinted primer, Zinser and Kilz are excellent.  You can have the paint store tint the primer just like paint.  If you use a primer, make sure it's the same kind as your paint (latex primer for latex paint, oil primer for oil paint).  One gallon of primer and one gallon of good quality paint like Behr is enough for most colors.  The extra expense for a good quality paint is more than worth it for durability and coverage.

I've painted many rooms in this house we're renovating and only needed more than one gallon for the red paint in a 12x12 room.  Remember, you can't return paint if you buy too much, but you can always buy more if you run out.
