  1. If I wanted to finance a 2009 Honda Pilot Touring, it would have been $1280/month for three years with $3300 cash up front. Good credit score (above 700) but a higher APR because of limited credit history (I don't take out loans and carry only two credit cards with very high limits which looks bad).

An Acura TL type-S leased is something around $450/month for three years. A friend of mine is doing that.

A friend's Honda Civic LX coupe is being financed for about $550/month for about 3-5 years at 1.9% APR.

A friend's 2006 Nissan Pathfinder is being financed for about $300/month for 3-4 years at a low APR. Her 2008 Nissan Versa is financed for about $199/month for 3-4 years as well.

Put aside about $2500 for gas each year (varies greatly by model, though) and $3000 for insurance if you're a teenager or someone with a bad driving history. Then maintenance costs vary depending on if the vehicle is under warranty or not and if the service is covered.

  2. You can lease new mid-size cars for about $300 per month on a 36 month lease with nothing down.  That's what I paid for a 2004 Honda Accord and later a 2006 Ford Fusion new.  I think the Fusion is a little cheaper now.  Something smaller like a Honda Civic would probably be about $250-$270 per month.  These are basic models with AC and auto, but not a lot of extras.

  3. I drive a H2 Hummer it cost about 920.00 a month on the payment and 400 in gas another 50 in insurance...
