How much performance fee was given to opera singers?

I am interested in opera and classical music. I love to go to see opera performance or classical aria concert. I am wondering how much performance fee do opera singers get for an opera performance or concert? How much money do they earn at one performance?

It can range from a minimum of $1000 per performance (what I usually make, LOL) to $5000 or even $10,000 or more for "opera royalty". (Renee Fleming, Deborah Voigt, and the like.)

Bear in mind, however, that fees are usually paid for performances ONLY, and there is usually a lengthy rehearsal period which is not paid.
