  1. When I was 12 I got 15 a week ( but I had a jobwalking a neighbors dog, my parents didn't give it to me) they gave me like 20 bucks a month so like 7 a week, but thats cause I put it in the bank not spend it on junk!

  2. Depends on your money. I am 11 and my mom gives me between 20-50 a month. This is for subway, hair cuts, chores, school, emergeceys, etc. One question do you think he is response able? If not give him 10 doallars for 2 weeks and see how he spends it. Hope this helps.

  3. My kids have to work for their spending money.

Here are my kids & their payable chores (in addition to regular family responsibilities like tidy after yourself, which is NOT payable)

10 yr old girl - laundry $1 per load (She has made a high of $9 per week. This week she was lazy and gets $0)

8 yr old boy - dusting and indoor glass cleaning (not windows)

$1 per chore. He has had a high of $5 in a week.

6 yr old girl - mopping the linoleum with Swiffer = .25 cents per floor (we live in a tiny apartment with 4 small linoleums) Her highest payout has been $2 in a week.

Our kids are learning to keep timesheets and sign payroll receipts when Dad pays them.  There is never a question of honest work for honest pay.

The kids have pooled their money on occaision to buy a toy they all want.

    I think it's a good thing.

  4. i guess 2-3 a week

  5. I don't give my kids pocket money. If they want money, they can earn it.

  6. £3 every week

  7. i think u should give her 11 dollars in all . 'cause tied room is 5 bucks and whatever else is 6 bucks and all 2gether u have 11 dollars.

  8. $30 dollars a week

  9. I don't beleive in paying children to live in a home I provide for them.

  10. 2 and a half

  11. 1 pound a week for the 8, 2 for the 11 year old.

  12. well when i was 12 i was getting £2 a day but thats for school and i was the older of me and my sister but on a weekly basis give her 5? and your son 2? start to slowly build up 1 evrta pound a week in a bank acount also for when there abit older :)

  13. PROBABLY  $15.

  14. Give 9 year old twins $2 a day each for pocket money. I guess that's about the same.

  15. this depends on the parent.

  16. Well if she does more work then her brother then yes but,if she does the same work then no!!!

  17. It should be contingent on the childs behavior, school effort, how much the child does to pitch in. It should not be a lot in any case. A lot of money in young impressionable hands "can" be a dangerous thing. It should also be made clear up front that it is subject to revocation. You must not allow a child to think that they will go through life with everything or any thing handed to them. Teach them the value of money
