How much pollution is caused in one day?

I need to know this for my 8th grade exhibition that is coming up THIS MONTH!!! I appreciate any help that i can possibly get!!!! Thank youu!

  1. That's like asking how much erosion has occured due to global warming..that's a pretty unknown variable in my opinion.

    Instead you could go through types of pollution and try to put those pieces together but even then it wouldn't be any where near equal to the actual problem - my theory.

  2. It increases but very slowly.  When 9/11 happened and all the jets were grounded, scientists found that the air was much cleaner for a little while before the airlines started running again.

  3. Very, very little.  CO2 content of the atmosphere has increased 100 ppm (parts per million) over the last 100 years.  This equates to an increase of just one molecule per million per year.

    This is far too scant to have any effect on the climate.

    For example, imagine you had a million dollars in your pocket, and you found one dollar on the side of the street.  That one dollar wouldn't increase or change your wealth in any significant way, even if you were able to find a dollar each year for 100 years!
