How much power can i make in a 94 firebird formula before the block begins to crack.?

  1. the block won't crack at 1500 HP, but you'll lose piston rods, bearings, crank, and transmission before that.  400 would be doable stock major parts

  4. Yay for idiot answers. The firebird block should be able to take at least 300 hp (very low end) but the tranny will fail before the block does.

  5. the 94 formula comes stock with 320hp and the iron block of the lt1 will hold over 1000hp. the stock internals start to give you problems at around 550hp though. dont listen to those sore loser ford boys,they can have their 2valve 4.6l engines that start to come apart after 400hp.check out the video of tony shepherds 93 z28 or big ricks lt1 trans am and they are both stock lt1 blocks.on another note the 4l60e tranny in the car will hold up to 500hp stock and a upgrade build on it is under $1k
