I purchased a GeForce 8500 GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Low Profile Video Card. I have a s3500f hp slimline computer, and I found out it only has 160w of power. I did find a power supply that would fit that is 200w, but I'm not sure thats even enough! The place I can get it from insisted that it was the highest wattage that would fit in my computer. Any advice?Does anyone know how much power it takes to run a low profile card??

  1. according to http://www.theinquirer.net/en/inquirer/n...

    power consumption is 35-40W

  2. You will probably be OK with 200. That card doesn't even need a power connector.

  3. The 8500 runs off of the power supplied through the PCIEx16 slot.  Your power supply is fine.
