  1. Well we all know it was d**k Cheney running this country the last eight years...

  2. If something happens to John Mccain if elected, the Secretary of State becomes the president, according to the Harrison Ford movie Air force one..

The mayor Sarah Palin may be the president in real life..

Which is better as President Sarah Palin or Harrison Ford?

  3. PartyGal is incorrect. If the President dies, the Vice President becomes President. President Pro Tempore of the Senate is next and is followed by members of the Cabinet in a specifically designated order.

The influence and power of the Vice President is left to the discretion of the President. He/She should serve as an advisor but, except for being President of the Senated a breaking ties there, there are no designated powers in the Constitution.
