  1. I have eliminated the need for 550+ (76 million btus) gallons of home heating oil and replaced it with a significantly smaller amount of electrical usage (around 4500 Kwh)

I went to a geothermal heat pump and got rid of my oil furnace.

  2. ive saved over 3500 dollars

  3. I can't put a number on it. I've been doing energy-reducing things most of my life so I don't think of it as "saved".  I just that I know I didn't use as much as most of my neighbors and friends that don't practice energy reduction. They are sick jealous of my utility bills and I'm home full time while they have an empty house at least 10 hours a day.

  4. That's hard to put a number on it, because I keep finding more ways to conserve. I don't use much gas, but when I had to replace my water heater it cut my gas bill in half. As far as electricity, I know I've saved at least 20kwh per month compared to last year. I know have a solar system, so I'm producing about 30Kwh per day. My electric usage from the city is down to around 5kwh per day. I wish I could get a smaller garbage can and pay less, because my reduction in packaging means I only fill my can about 1/4 of the way. I've also saved a lot on gas, when the gas prices soared it only meant about another $10 per month because I don't drive much and I get 45 mpg. I guess you can also say I've saved the power it takes to make a car as well, in the past I traded in my car for a new one every 2-3 years. I've now owned my Prius for 6 years and still love it. It will go to my son next year and I'll finally get a new Prius.
