Question:

How much pull should be on a compound bow cable guard?

I bought a new bow today but the cable guard didn't have a clip attaching it to the string. I took one off my old bow which had a curved cable guard and installed it on my new bow which has a straight guard. I am wondering how much pull on the strings is too much pull. I don't want the string to come off the pulley.

Thanks

  1. You should get the right slide for your cable guard. If the slide is not right, it may cause too much lean to the cams, causing poor accuracy, and quicker wear on your equipment.
