Question:

How much ram can my computer handle?

when i go on www.crucial.com it says i can handle only up to 768, but in my manual guide of my motherboard it says up to 3gig, 1 gig per slot i have 3 ram slots, and i can handle DDR200/266/333.

my motherboard is

ECS L4VXA2

P4X400-8235

Socket 478

ram slots : 3 DIMM

so how much ram can my computer handle and which ram should i buy, at the moment i have 512mb ram

  1. Well seeing how you hold ddr its probably 2 gigs, becuase i have ddr ram in my back up computer and its holds 2 gigs, but then also depends on your operating system xp/ vista 32 bit O/S holds 3.4 gigs and a 64 bit o/s holds 8 gigs
