  1. NOT MUCH AT All.* 12 gauge wins hands down.*

  2. I handload 270 with 140 grain accu-bonds for elk, and I've shot plenty of 150 grainers. Kicks way less than a 1 oz load from a shotgun. To put it this way, my shotgun bruises my shoulder everytime I'm out for an hour . but I've never been bruised by the 270 even when I've been at the range all day

  3. my shotgun with a 3in. magnum uotkicks my 270 3 -1

  4. In my opinion when is shoot my 270 it seems to be less painful than shooting my 12 guage sure the 270 has a little kick but the 12 seems to kick harder as for the 30-30 I notice little recoil sure ther is some but it's not so bad it all really depends how often you shoot the gun and how comfortable you are shooting it the more you get used to it the less the recoil will matter after a while you won't even notice

  5. It depends on what kind of load you shoot  in the 12 gauge
