It depends on which 8300 model you have. If you have the 8300HD you can record about 20 hours of Hi Def programs vs. about 90 hours of standard. I believe the box comes with a 160gb hard drive. If this is not enough space for you, you can purchase a Maxtor Quickview. This external SATA hard drive has a 300gb capacity adding more recording time and is completely compatible with the 8300.
