How much room does a Flying Saucer Chinchilla Wheel take up?

I'm trying to find a good chinchilla wheel that's not plastic, and one of the options I found was a flying saucer wheel. They say it can fit in a 9 x 12 or 10 x 10 door, but once its set up, how much room does it take up in the cage? Also, does anyone have any other suggestions for non-plastic wheels (preferably ones that are 12")?

  1. if it can go through your door it will fit just fine so dont worry they are experts at these thing

  2. Quality cage offers the flying saucer and another wheel that I personally prefer called the 15" chin spin. You really need a good sized cage to fit both of these. They have great cages that are affordable. They have one that is a condo, one that is a townhome and another called the mansion. I ended up with the Mansion after trying several other cages. Remember it is worth the money when you consider that this may be a home for your pet for 18 years. The condo starts at 109.00 and the shipping is not that bad in price
